Default EZGO 48v TXT Fleet Elec

Stock Cart was driving fine until I went down a hill and it cut-off. Batteries and cables are all fine but the Pre-Charge resistor is melted. Now the cart won't run. The solenoid still clicks like it wants to go but nothing. Any suggestions?

Solenoid has probably failed. Just because it clicks doesn’t mean it is working. When it fails the resistor gets cooked because it’s taking the full load. With the pedal pushed and the solenoid clicks check for voltage on the controller side.

The voltage on the controller side is the same 50.1v as the battery side without pushing the pedal. Does that mean it is bad?

No. That is the resistor letting voltage through. With the pedal pushed I get it drops to near zero

Sorry, the resistor isn't connected. The controller side I have 50.4v before I push the pedal and 51v after pushing the pedal and getting the click. I assume I shouldn't have voltage on the controller side if the pedal isn't pushed.

There might be some voltage stored in the caps. Let it sit a little while and then check the controller side again. If it is still pack voltage the solenoid has failed closed.

I figured it out, I had another 1206hb and swapped it out and it worked. I guess the solenoid got stuck and fried the controller. Thank you for your help, I am changing them both out.

Good deal. Solenoid might be okay but best to replace it.
