1997 295 robbins no spark
Anyone have any resistance values or diag sequences for the coil and pulser? New pulser, coil, ignitor, solenoid. No spark. Not amazon junk either. All wiring is correct. What am I missing here? Racking my brain. Experienced cart mechanic here and I'm stumped

My experience with the igniters are they are junk when you get them. Where did you get your igniter ?

Where did you find oem coil and ignitor? They’ve been discontinued for at least a week or two from ezgo
Unfortunately everything we’ve tried out there that’s not oem ezgo is overall garbage. More bad parts than good. Occasionally someone gets lucky but they’re in the minority Anyway ignition coil primary coil should be around 2-4 ohms. Secondary coils should be about 10k ohms. I believe the pulser coil is about 50 ohms but I may be wrong… that’s pulling from a broken memory lol. I’m sure trig or cartmaster will chime in with exact ranges. But I wouldn’t worry too much about the pulsed coil. They almost never go bad, but thee air gap does need to be set correctly |

Re: 1997 295 robbins no spark
19-20 ohms on the pulser/pickup 10-17Kohms secondary on coil. 2-4 ohms on primary of coil. Jeez CP, you should have this memorised by no after all we have been through! Oh, and if you unplug the pulser and spin the engine you should see up to .5 VAC across its two wires.
Check your Original parts and if good put them back on. non oem parts make better paperweights. If all checks out suspect the igniter. Only way to test is to fit to a known working cart. |
