Default controller swap????

Does anyone know for sure whether or not a curtis 1204-015 will work in place of a 1204-027?? Tryin to get my 94 marathon going the cheapest way possible. Had the -027 which I blew up and having hard time finding a used pullout of the same but did find a -015. Just tryin to figure out if it'll work before I waste 100 bucks!
Thanks

Best that I tell, the answer is yes. The 027 was a forklift model? And the 015 is the golf cart model of equal in and output.

Scotty,

Where did you get the idea that a Curtis 1204-027 controller was a forklift controller? The controller that came out of my bone stock '92 Marathon is a 1204-027. The original owner said it had never been changed.

I've learned there are a bunch of 1204's that are not the same internally and will not interchange. Not sure what the differences are but....I just need one that will interchange with my oem -027 that'll get my marathon working. I posted a "want ad" in the parts section but no luck so far. So if anyone readin this has upgraded theirs and has their stock -027 sittin in the garage collecting dust......let me know! I'd be much obliged!

I know that this is an old thread but the subject matter is germain to my situation at present.
I am assuming that if the 015 could be used in place of the 027 then the opposite should be true as well.
scottyb, I trust your answer.
Thanks, Tom

Just wondering if a 1204-027 can be wired to replace a bad 25864G09? I’m asking for my brother-in-law. He has the golf cart with the bad controller and I have the 1204-027 controller. Just trying to save him a few bucks if possible.
