Default 244 robins cylinder nut torque

I think the cylinder nut torque is 24 to 28 Ft.lbs on my 244 robins.
How do you torque them? Do you use crow foot adapters? If so does that change the reading on the torque wrench?

Thanks

Chuck

OK I will ask this this question this way. Those that have put new top ends on your 244 robins how did you torque the jug.

no i didn't. i think i can "feel" about the right amount to do it. just do it in a criss cross pattern, about a quarter turn past snug. you will feel it stop.

I nail my colors to the Madoc1 mast as well. I then rechecked the cylinder bolts and the head bolts after 10 hours (which I counted using my handy dandy rev counter).

Thanks madok1 and Dave. Did you use any sealer on the gasket?

no, but i guess a little non-hardening permatex wouldn't hurt anything.
