crankshaft problem
hi guys, been gone for a while. still putting my 87 244cc robins engine together. ran into a problem. this particular engine has an electronic ignition. the replacement crankshaft kit is for the old points system, it has a lobe for the points to open. wil this new crankshaft work with the electric ignition?

woody, i really don't know, but i bet not. either way, for what you had to pay for that thing, i would send it back for the correct one.

It has a smaller diameter at the end which is why the crank shaft seals are different. In any case you should have the correct part.
