Default Clutch Removal NOOB Question

i am wanting to add some spacers to the spring like in this thread

i just want to know it the motor has to be pulled in order to get the clutch off looks like it might hit the drive shaft .....

its a 88 ez-go 2p? (stand up muffler)

still lookin for an awnser .... sure i can just go at in and figure it out... but i dont want to bother with it if i have to pull the motor

Welcome to the forum ,, I am running an 89 , 86 ,86 ,83 and an 91 and I would not try to pull a clutch with the engine still for all the tea in china , they are not that hard to pull and it gives a whole lot more room to keep from busting knuckels and skinning arms and fingers . and as easy as that thread made it look it AIN'T .

ok thanks for the info.... now is it even posiable to get it out with the motor still in (i understand that it is wayyyy harder)

The 83 and the 89 it is necessary to remove the engine unless you have some special tools , just too much in the way The 88 is a 2pg engine early in the year and a ( I think ) 3 pg late , I may be wrong may be all 2pg , I don't have an 88 yet but there are small differences in all of the year models , my 86's I could pull the clutch without pulling the engine but I wouldn't.
