Default Re: Micro switch with 3 wires

I hooked up the wires off the micro switch like they were terminals using the wires from the cart like the old switch and nothing popped or smelled like it was burning so I took it on a 5 mile trip and it made it back home. Thanks for the advise.

The cart still has a small issue as it will change speed with the pedal on the floor. You can let off the pedal some and find a sweet spot and it will roll. When you take off sometimes it goes as I think it should and sometimes it feels like 1/2 throttle and then goes on.

What you think?

We would need lots more info. Yr of cart. What controller? Any mods? Sudden problem with the throttle. You know, stuff like that. But off hand any throttle peddle input problem points to the peddle position indicator.... or linkage.

It is a 95, No Mods, I actually beleive that it has everything that came with the cart when it was new by the looks. I've only had it for 5 days and put the switch on and brand new batteries. I know the older gentleman that I got it from said he never has put anything on it. He told me that when he got it he had new batteries put in it. He said he drove it 7 or 8 years and it started the jerking and shaking when you pressed the pedal. It has set in his garage for 2 more years.

Can you ohmn out the peddle postion indicator? or is it worth just buying a new one? I'm not trying to make anything special out it, just something for the grand kids to ride. No more motorcycles or 4 wheelers they tore up the yard.

A 1995 has a potentiometer under the gas peddle.
It is a two wire signal which you can test under the floor or find at the controller.

Reading should be 5k-0 as the throttle is depressed.
