Call Plum Quick in the site sponsors, they are fantastic and can tell you what you need to know. Since your already running 20-21 not sure if theres a cheap upgrade..I would think it would be a new controller and cables, but I'm still learning this stuff myself. I'm sure some of the other members will offer advise to.

A divide by two circuit for the speed sensor. You can build one for a couple of $.

Sonicj,

Are you talking about building one of the magnets that go in the speed sensor? If so I have a couple of questions:

1) Will this increase speed even though were already going 20-21 mph with the 23" tires.

2) Can you describe how to build one and where you could get the magnets for this.

Thanks!

What does your serial# start with, PQ or Ph? I have a PH which is the I2 Excel. Just curious.

A divide by two device is what the speedy link is....

A high speed magnet has half as many poles, thus sends half as many pulses per rotation to the controller. A divide by two circuit captures the pulses after the speed sensor and sends the controller 1 pulse for every 2 it receives.

Both solutions fool the controller by making it think the motor is spinning slower than it really is.

Thanks SJ!

Does anybody know if adding the magnet would make any difference with a cart already going 20 mph? I know the SpeedyLink will not increase my application as I am already at 20mph. Is there something in the stock controller that limits the speed to 20mph or will the magnet fool it?

Thanks!
