85 EzGo Backfires
My 2 cycle 85 backfires when you make a run at half or above throttle when you let offf the accelerator fast. Any thoughts on how to remedy this?

Re: 85 EzGo Backfires
you need to make sure the carb butterfly is closing at the same time the gas pedal is at the off position..............................

Re: 85 EzGo Backfires
Check the throttle closing first (second)If it seems to run fine and does it just as the engine comes to a stop. An exhaust leak even the smallest one will cause a backfire just as they stop on 2 stroke carts also.Just a small crack around the brackets or pipe, even a tiny leak at a gasket will cause it.

Re: 85 EzGo Backfires
I recommend getting a chain and a front end, loader, a cat 970 or bigger, and try to snatch it off. I'm sure it'll come off pretty simple and easy that way.
