Cart transport at highway speeds..
Hey guys I'm planning on getting my son a great used 09 g29 cart Sunday . It's lifted with the jakes 6" with 12" wheels and 22" tires. Has the light kit, flares, rear seat, and the flip windshield. It's a 100 mile drive to the dealer to get it at interstate speeds. What needs to be removed from the cart in order to travel safely home with it. Don't want anything flying off causing damage to the cart or passing cars on the interstate.

Re: Cart transport at highway speeds..
How are you transporting? Truck? Trailer?
I'd say if you are using a trailer, make sure anything that is loose, or appears loose is either tied down or removed. Wind drag on a trailer can be rough. The windshield should be easy to remove, although if it was installed properly it would be fine. Tie down the cart really well from all four corners. Wrap the straps over the suspension/wheels and pull at 45 degrees toward the corners. This will eliminate all movement of the cart. Bouncing and sliding can make the trip nerve racking. |

Re: Cart transport at highway speeds..
Thanks guys.. Will have the dealer remove the windshield before I arrive ..will be on a 6x14 trailer at 70 mph speeds. Just wasn't too sure of how the roof would handle the speeds.
