I know this is a old thread but thought i would give people out there another look at it

Would much rather buy a used Ezgo or Club car that was manf. Correctly the first time, then take a chance on a Chinese product
The old saying holds true
- you get what you pay for !! , just buy a good quality Ezgo or Club car and add your mods to it as you go along

You are right great north, i've bought a chinesse cart (piece of cr--p) and i loose 1000$ with it so now i stay with ez go

Awesome, and true. The rear axle is a pile (so bad some leak oil through the casting). The electrical system is crap (can Anyone here show me a wiring diagram for a star, no? Wonder why?). It is just not good. We were a Star dealer for a while, the day the last one left was one of my happiest days with the company.
