Another stupid question. Does it matter if I replace what I'm assuming is 5/8 in fuel tube with 1/4?

Probably won't be the proper fuel flow. If it has 5/8 on it and you put 1/4 instead, no way will it flow enough.

Got it running! Rigged up this to get fuel in carb and it fired right up. Pump on order and will arrive tomorrow. Thanks y'all for all the help!!
