Yamaha Dealer Meeting in Las Vegas
I got to check out the new Yamaha line up. The new Yamaha gas cars will have fuel injection and updated clutches to get rid on those rattling pieces of junk clutches on the old Drives.

Re: Yamaha Dealer Meeting in Las Vegas
Thanks for the update chompy. I also heard of the fuel injection system (from the owner and salesman that attended). Although (thru them both) couldn't get a straight awnser about the desighn or if it's true there only available in a PTV ordered car and if the gas tank must be redesighned to a metal tank. Is the primary clutch like the G2 thru G14 style (3 link)? Did they change the secondary? I also heard they changed components on the brake/accelerator pedal group.

Re: Yamaha Dealer Meeting in Las Vegas
According to the powers that be they will be available for both markets......eventually. I think they are waiting and seeing how the market will react and what problems will surface. There is also a price difference that might not sit right with prospective golf course customers. Mechanically speaking, the car I saw had a plastic tank with some very trick attachments towards the front of the tank. The primary sheave looks like a G2 primary sheave but a Yamaha Tech told me the inner workings are very much like that of a Comet clutch with pucks in it. The secondary sheave looks like a G22 clutch made to fit on the input shaft of the Drive transmission. The primary and secondary sheave will be interchangeable with the early style Drives. The updated clutches will use a J55 drive belt. The brake/accelerator pedal group has been changed somewhat. It is using a lot more steel as opposed to aluminum.
