Cool yamaha g2 drive clutch

just bought my first yamaha cart its a 4 stroke g2 gas i believe have had a bunch of cc &ezgo this cart was partially disassembled by someone who should take their tools and throw them in the lake. my dillema is there is no spring in the drive clutch and i cant seem to find if there is supposed to be or not

if your talking the clutch on the transaxle yes it does have a spring

No spring in the front clutch, if its original (6 phillips screws in cover, grease fitting).
