EZGO hit rev limiter quick
96 EZGO hits rev limiter fast. Starts fine runs fine up to 5-6 MPH then hits the rev limiter. Possible electrical problem. I have had tons of electrical demons on this cart. I have replaced CDI box, coil, voltage reg, pulser coil in past. Fortunately I have had a parts cart to fix all problems. Now Im out of parts and not sure what to test. Anyone had something like this before? I doesn't seem like its stuck in low gear based on speed.

Rev limiter at 6 MPH? Are you sure the clutches are operating correctly??

Primary seems fine. I haven't pulled secondary- I guess its possible secondary could be locked up ( I never thought of that)

I've had the same problem with a 94. I had a igniter problem. You said you replaced the CDI, I assume you ment the ignitor. If that is what you meant sounds like that base has been covered.

Look like the secondary may be the problem- seems to be locked up. Haven't split it yet- If I remember they are kinda a B*tch

secondary is locked up! Buttons are gone and- Better than hunting for an electrical ghost!
