bed lift actuator clearance issue w/CPP header ?
I am waiting for delivery of the Warner linear actuator Kx2 so that I can automate the bed on my '06 carryall Turf1 gas .
I would like to fit one of the CCP stainless header & muffler in the future, and would be helpful to know if there might be a clearance issue between the CCP exhaust and placement of a bed box lift actuator that can be avoided by instituting the mounting for the lift cylinder to the right or left rather than centered across the bottom of the bed box. I've been studying photos I've collected for some answers, but can't seem to find anything that includes the header/muffler system and an electric bed lift cylinder on a Club Car. |

Sorry I can't help you, but I have a Carryall and would love to see some photos/progress of what you are doing.

My CPP header was one of the first to be produced, but I'd imagine they haven't changed the design much!

Lockman1, your photos are so clear and well composed I truly appreciate them.
That cart is so clean that I'm sort of embarrassed by mine( it was used exclusively in a parking garage right next to a brackish river, so it suffers from long term ingrained filth & corrosion). I can't tell if yours is some sort of carryall -or- a DS type with the corresponding bodywork or not. If you might have some photos of the area overtop the engine in the rear that included the muffler box & it's mounting, along with the area it takes up around the transaxle and hitch/frame cross link I would be appreciative. I have to set up a lower mount on that hitch bar, and a corresponding fore/aft mount to the bottom of my bed box, I'd really dislike the idea of doing something as labor intensive as that twice. Since I almost expected to be purchasing that CCP exhaust after I recover from Springtime startup maintenance costs around the ranch I can see that I'll likely be buying it sooner rather than later. Is your exhaust the lifted -or- non-lifted version? I intend to keep the 8" wheels and low ground clearance since that preserves the tight steering radius & such of the factory Turf1. |

re: bed lift actuator clearance issue w/CPP header ?
Yeah... my cart was only 2 years old (a campground cruiser) when I put it on, and took those pics with my good camera, but even after 10 years of having it, it's still sort of... clean! and it's a DS. My header was for a non-lifted cart. (I'm not sure of the difference between the two) I don't have any over the top pics with the muffler mounting, because the DS rear body made it difficult to accomplish that. but I DO have a video! (I think you've seen it before) It probably won't answer your question, but here ya' go anyway! |
