Governor adjustment

I bought a 2009 RXV 13 HP and tried the governor nut adjustment, I only went down 3/16 to 1/4 in on the threads and not seem to make difference, is something on 2009 different, because it worked GREAT on my 03 workhorse 1200 and I learned that from here. Should I go more on the adjustment?
