drift, if will go to top of this forum you will see a sub forum.. go there and scroll to the one with the gold stars. there you will find the factory parts manual for this cart. this should help with gov ?
ideally your compression should be about 120 cold. probably run at 100 tho. |

Re: Is 1990 ez go 800 worth buying?
Hey guys, back again with a question on my ezgo. Cart ran great all year, but think the motor is tired, got really slugish towards end of camping season Oct 15, 2011. Top speed was 18-19 mph still, but slow to get there, and real lazy. I want to lift it 4 inches, and 20 to 22 inch tires on it for the spring. My question is, on Ebay i can get a rebuild kit for a 89-93 Marathon, but will it fit my motor cause i have a 800 GXT? And, will the cart even do good with this lift and bigger tirers cause it is a two stroke, and they kinda suck for torque. I have a Yamaha G1 two stroke that i got crazy with that does 29 mph, and torque is way better, compression still low, 90 psi, makkes no sense, but don't know if can do same to the ezgo. Thanks for the info!
