Re: 92 gxi 804
I'll have to dig, but I believe I have some decent pics of his cart I can post ... That cart is the one that convinced me to get my own to play with, he picked it up for around $600 but it took a LOT to get it looking like it does, the diamondplate on the front was beat up and rusting so we cut and replaced new sides for the cowl, the seats were a fast "homebuilt" reupholster that actually turned out so well that he kept them - and of course the lift, tires, prep/primer/new paint, and the decal set (which we had made by another friend who does graphics and vinyl cutting - she actually was able to make them up based on photos off the web and a few measurements, they're basically undiscernable from factory and I want to say ran him around $50 total) - the valves were set all wrong, there was a cracked bracket on the valve cover (another "I can't believe that WORKED" fabrication job over a few beers) and to be honest, it still smokes a little on takeoff (no mosquito fogger, just a puff here and there) but it's still one of my personal favorites out there ...
Let me dig for some pics |

OK - here we go:
tman_and_his_gxt804.jpg Trent_800_01.jpg Trent_800_02.jpg Also, in all honesty I again have to clarify - most of the work he did himself (I was more or less just moral support and the more-than-occasional cold beer) but as I said, it's still one of my favorite carts .. He since went out and bought a new monster 4X4 Club Car something-or-other so she doesn't get run like she should - maybe one of these days I'll get him on the forum here and shame him into actually DRIVING the thing more than a few times a year, hahaha |

Re: 92 gxi 804
really nice job. think it looks better than the one we built. we have a 3pg in it. love the look of the early models like ours, with lower bed sides. thx for the pics, will put them in the build file.
must say, it was built for jeff's daughter, but used a lot. the kids love to ride it and have only hit one tree. i built the engine and got most of the lift installed, other stuff, but he did all the cosmetics. this was last year during a freak snow storm. this nicky working the starter. |
