a 12v solenoid is a 12v solenoid.

If you can get one off an old riding lawn mower, or similar, it will work.

The only ones I stay away from are the old wall mount silver ones..LOL..

But every other one I have tried, where one 12v hot wire 12-14 gauge activates the solenoid (electric switch) and connects the Hot side of the battery to the starter..would work just fine in a cart.

I wouldn't pay over 12-15 bucks for one.

Csason there is a big difference between temporary and constant contact solenoid. Golf carts require one that is rated to be open or closed for long periods of time.

CONFIRMED ... NAPA ST80 is a direct Marathon replacement, *whew*

I may be totally wrong here, but isn't the Napa ST - 80 a 12V solenoid? I remember using one years ago for an auxiliary ac on a bus. They may offer it in different voltages now, though!

Yep, it's a 12v constant-duty, 4-pole - exactly what a 2PG or 3PG gasser uses ... Now an electric cart would be a whole other deal ...
