Engine swap 83 to 88 EZGO 2 cycle
Engines appear to be the same. Are they interchangeable. Removing 83 and putting it in an 88

A qualified yes. 1988 was the changeover year from the 2PG to the 3PG so if you have an early 88 you will be good to go. There should be a label on the engine to indicate if it is a 2 or 3PG.

Thanks for the info. May have to scrap the idea due to very tight spot in the 83 engine
