Default G1 Rear Seat

Just wanted to share my last weekend project. I fabricated a rear seat for my 85 G1. Built this out of 1" steel tubing and the seat deck is made of 3/4" Pvc I had laying around. I bought 4" foam and white vinyl from JoAnn's. ($38.00). Under the steel I put rubber grommets to keep it up off the body. I attached the seat to the frame using some 1 1/2" aluminum angle, which I had. Overall it took about 3 hrs, short of waiting for the paint to dry. We use this at our campground on the river to haul people around. I'm happy with the way it turned out, thought I post some pictures to..

Happy Holidays to all!!

I like it. I was thinking of fabricating something that would only be used when we have company. I would like to remove it when I use the cart for golf or for a basket to haul groceries. You give me something to ponder. Are you planning on installing backrests or arm grips?

Thanks guys. Yes I'm working on the arm rests. I think I'm going to use some square stock aluminum. Got a buddy that can bend it so there won't be any sharp edges. Will post pics when that happens.

Great idea for the rear seat. Where did you get your tail lights?

Nice!

Tail lights look like small marker lamps...
