Spring,
I feel your pain,a sticky driven clutch drives me crazy, I tried using a puller...
The was the end result...

So I ended up using my angle grinder to cut off what was left, I used the key way as a buffer, which saved the shaft from getting nicked..

The key way took a shot, small price to pay, to save the shaft.....

Ok so with no luck so far getting this driven clutch to budge off the input shaft, I'm trying another tactic. That tactic being splitting the case. I'm not a transmission expert so I'm hoping one reads this and can point me in the right direction. My goal is to remove the input shaft with the clutch on it, in order to get at the clutch easier. I thought I could just pop that big roller bearing off and remove the gear cluster (in order to get that lower gear off the input shaft) but it appears to be pressed on...is it?

If I mess around much more with this, It's going be no longer worth my time (this is just a spare axle) and I should just get a new driven clutch for my primary axle. I'm just hoping against hope that I can get this driven clutch off in one piece so I can use it.

Adding to this, a friend of mine, trying to get his driven clutch off his 1987 Club Car axle, unbolted and opened his case (as I did above) and found a way to remove the input shaft by pulling it out of the case with the clutch on it, he then put it in a press and was able to get the clutch off pretty easily. Unfortunately he had broken the clutch sheave during earlier attempts...so the clutch had to be discarded. But he said that if he had just opened the case before he broke it, it would have come off in one piece.

I had the same issue with a driven clutch that was galled onto the shaft. The clutch had lost the bolt and spit out the key causing the clutch to spin and gall on the shaft. I soaked the clutch for a week with blaster to break up the rust and other crud on the shaft. I then used the air hammer to walk the clutch off the shaft. Worked like a charm. The clutch came right off the rusted galled shaft with little effort. I cant believe I haven't seen anyone else recommending this method. Try it next time you have a rusted on part. Works on all different kind of things. It even works for stuck on steering wheels.

short video of the process.

No problem. Like I said, I hadn't seen anyone suggest this method so I figured everyone would find it helpful.
