2013 Yamaha Drive Radio Install
I bought a stretch plastics overhead console. It is a very nice product with a superb fit. My only complaint was I thought the radio was a bit bouncy so I reinforced the opening with some plywood on the inside.
 I wasn't able to find an accessory wire that turns on with the key switch. I wound up wiring the radio direct to the battery. I'd like the radio to turn off with the key. Anyone know where to find an accessory circuit on the drive?  I also bought a few matching woodgrain accessories like the armrests, dash, and ball washer.    |

There should be 2 wires going to the back of the key switch. 1 is red/yellow and is always positive. The other is red/white and is only positive with key in on position. Run positive wire from radio to red/white wire. Run ground from radio to negative on battery.

Is the radio am/fm? And is there alot of static when listening to am?

Yes the jvc is am/fm Bluetooth and USB. I've never listened to am but the fm is crystal clear. No engine noise or static. I bought an inexpensive marine antenna from amazon for about 6 dollars. It sits inside the console.

Which console did you buy from them? I have a 2012 Drive and haven't been able to find a overhead console to fit. They told me they haven't made one to fit the 2012 and newer yet.

where did the yellow wire from radio go and didn't that make the radio only come on with lights.
