Rear flip seat into a cargo box????
I've got a yamaha g29 and really need some type of bed for working and hauling tools and gear around. Looked at the steel and aluminum bed boxes but all are in the 300-350$ range for the box and mounting kit. The rear flip seats are in the same price range which to me serve more function being able to haul friends and family as well as using the flat bed for working. The problem with the flip seat is that the bed will not have any walls to hold the contents within the bed?
Anybody have any easy recommendations to make the rear flip seat bed into a bed with at least 6" deep side walls that can be easily removed when the seats is flipped up for people to ride? I'm thinking plywood but open to other suggestions.. Thanks |

Yep that's exactly what I want but with a solid bottom instead of expanded metal. Your fab skills are top notch. Where you have the angle running around the perimeter when the seat is let down I wanna make some type of drop in walls on all 4 corners to keep pine straw, mulch, bark etc from spilling out.

This just gave you the idea, you can modify from there!!
Have fun!! Mike I used the expanded, cause I didn't want it holding snow or water. And wanted it light weight. I have a small moving blanket that I keep under the seat, for when I don't want things falling through the expanded metal, or scratching the hand rails. |

Re: Rear flip seat into a cargo box????
Went the easy route and ordered the seat kit from DIY golf and also got the hitch that mounts underneath the rear step. Just gotta stop by Home Depot and get the box. Thanks guys.
