BTW, what do people think about installing a new charge receptacle? Old one seems to work fine but it's, well, old. Should I order a new receptacle using the original crows foot plug config, or upgrade to something newer and cooler.

Keep the old one as long as it looks good. Take it a part and clean on the contacts really well and put a thin layer of dielectric grease on the contact surface to make pushing/pulling your crowsfoot plug smooth.

Before drilling holes for the new pedal, be sure to sit in the seat to make sure it's a comfortable angle for your ankle/foot when driving

That makes sense. Good to save some dough, cuz my bank account has taken a beating this week...

Baby steps. I installed the new go pedal after dinner. No big deal moving the bolt holes over a bit to get a better fit. I had to drill a bit into the emergency brake stopper to fit the wires into the new hole. It seems solid enough though.

Managed to make a few more steps:

- mounted solenoid
- mounted SW202 - decided to put it below the old F&R switch, worried that my cable kit wouldn't be optimized for a different placement. I also wanted to use the snazzy CU unlimited custom mount...!
- removed old motor

I plan to take the solenoid and SW202 off tomorrow when I start attaching all the wires. Should be interesting...

I also "dry fitted" the diodes to the SW202 and the solenoid. Hopefully everything is in the right place.

Guys, any motor prep before I put the new Admiral in? Looks like there are some bits of paper or something next to the armature... Do these need to come out?

I'd drain the transaxle while you're at it and refill with some synthetic gear oil. I've used 80-90w with great success. I'd also coat the transaxle shaft with copper anti seize to make any future removals of the motor a breeze.

Also, see if your cart calls for a motor bumper. Seems to be a part often overlooked. I'm not sure if an 84 CC calls for one or not. A very inexpensive part, around $3.

Admiral and FSIP specifically instruct not to use the OEM rubber bumper with their motors. I haven't seen those bits of paper before. Must be some new packing? If they are loose I would pull them out
