Madjax vs Chinese vs OE headlights?
I've been building RXVs for a while and I've been installing the same Chinese LED kit that is offered by just about everyone.
I'm look for a kit that has better output. Has anyone compared these to the Madjax (2-3X the price) or the OE offering? |

Re: Madjax vs Chinese vs OE headlights?
Not with RXV lights, but with other carts I’ve had the same issues with both of them. They seem almost the same. The cheap LED sets seem about the same brightness, at least for a TXT48.

I have seen no difference, the MJFX lights are also maid in China and some are identical to some of the off brands

Re: Madjax vs Chinese vs OE headlights?
In my opinion, the OEM kit is brighter than all the cheapo led kits I have tried. (I am not talking about the "pro-fit" kit, it's the same Chinese stuff)

Went with the full Madjx kit, we'll see how they turn out.

I'm not a fan of madjax in general, I think the name is fitting, you'll get "mad jacked".

Re: Madjax vs Chinese vs OE headlights?
Started installing the MJ full kit today, it was a little more expensive but the quality is MUCH better than the cheap kits everyone is selling.
Everything about the kit is nicer. Will post pics once I get everything installed. With that said. I'm not sure I'd go with it I'd I didn't get it wholesale, I think the kit retails for around $325 |

Re: Madjax vs Chinese vs OE headlights?
Finally got the kit installed. The quality is far superior to any other kit I have ever used.
It has Hi/Low beam, wiring for fog lights, turns and horn all built in the stalk. The headlights have a sweet looking Audi style running light and the rear LED brake lights look awesome as well. The light housings themselves are much nicer than the basic LED kit I install all the time on a standard RXV. I would not put this on a cart I was going to sell but I will def use it on any cart I plan on using personally. |

Re: Madjax vs Chinese vs OE headlights?
I just completed the installation today of the Madjax Ultimate LED light kit for 2016 and newer RXVs. I am totally thrilled with the results.
The kit includes front lights with DRLs, low beam, high beam, amber turn signals and flashers, horn, Dual USB port chargers and brake lights. The automotive stalk even has harness connections for two additional lighting circuits such as dome, reverse or under carriage lighting. The kit includes a 48 to 12 volt reducer. It is a 10amp / 120 watt reducer but is not switched, so I just wired it through a 48 volt relay so that it doesn't draw from the battery pack when off. The tail lights have separate led arrays for light, brake light and turn/flashers. Very cool. The lighting is very high output although I don't have direct experience with other kits. At a little over $300 USD, it is a great bargain IMHO. Now........if they could just figure out a way to include automatic back-up lights, it would perfect. |
