Default Re: Wiring diagram for 3 position key switch

Thanks to all the posts I now understand B1 and L wiring on the 12v side of a new 3 position switch. The question I still have is does neutral setting on the F R switch disable the 12v side of the key switch as it does the 36v side? (Will my radio and lights shut off when changing gears.)

The light circuit is independent of the 36v control circuit. Moving the F/R lever will not affect the light circuit.

I bought a unique key switch with lights for my '07 PDS. You can also get one with the fleet key which is much cheaper. It has 4 terminals - two for the motor and two for the lights. They are separate circuits since one is using 12v and the other is 36v. Set your mulitmeter for continuity testing and check the termials in the various key positions. The 36v and 12v are totally separate. Your 12v. power is either coming from 2 6v batteries, a voltage reducer or a separate 12 v batt.
