EZGO Style Seat Cover Backrest
I'm trying to put on new vinyl seat covers on my Ruff and Tuff which has very similar covers as EZGO. I can not figure out how I can stretch the vinyl on the bend in the back rest. I try starting in the middle and working my way out but it remain wrinkled down the middle. Should I start in the middle of the bend and work my way out? Help! All tips are greatly appreciated. Pics or vids would be great.

Re: EZGO Style Seat Cover Backrest
Unless you have access to some type of heating system or vacuum system to shrink wrap the material you are going get wrinkles. I have recovered several and they are not factory perfect but I get them close I use marine vinyl so it last in the weather, you have to use a lot of staples and just keep working it around, do the sides first and then the corners, as for the backrest on the EZ-GO's that dip in the center top is a bear you have to cut it on the back almost where you are going to staple it so it will curve but that isn't quite right I will usually put a strap around to help cover the wrinkles. I know everyone wants it to be perfect but the only way to get that is buy the covers but the material is the same garbage.

Go to YouTube and search. There's a video on how to do nearly everything. There are also videos on how to do stuff, that really are "how not to" do something so beware.

Re: EZGO Style Seat Cover Backrest
I finally got it last night. I found one youtube video where someone was installing a custom cover that had the bend in the cover, yet he still cut slits in the material to get it to curve right. I'll see if I can get pics up later. Thanks for the help! Cutting slits made it much better, some how the factory seat had no slits in it, it was just pulled on like CRAZY to get it to bend with the curve and that is what I was trying to replicate.

All the old covers I have seen had slits cut in it. That's how I learned to slit the cover ....They may have cut the slit parts off of yours after stapling underneath them?
