its a blocking diode and it's somewhere in the gray wire find it and check it, or find the two ends of the gray wire and put your meter on it one way on ohms and then flip the leads and check again.

Is this an undocumented diode? the schematic for the excel system does not show any diodes.

I replaced the female pin in the connector and cleaned the male on the controller and still no love.I guess it's time for a new controller again .I will open the controller up and give it a look this time but why is this happening is beyond me .

I an picking up #3 controller tomorrow and will install saturday.With 10 hrs or less on cart since buying this cart at christmas .If this does not work longer than the last two will have A very expensive cart FOR SALE cheep.I will report back with results when I get it in .

If you haven't found the issue then don't put the new controller in. Pm scottyB for help or tahodog, you need to find the issue. What year is this cart, is there a schematic posted here that I can look at?

What is the model number on the controller? I'm thinking you have the wrong controller in there.

That is a grey controller and from what I understand it is an Excell controller. I have a Curtis in my 2008.5 with the black controller it is IQ. Hummm.
