Default Charger wire causing solenoid activation

I have a Lester Summit 2 onboard charger wired up and just recently noticed that if I move the positive wire to the batteries slightly the cart will beep and the solenoid will click. This happens whether or not the charger is plugged in and whether or not the key is on. Very confusing as to why that would cause this. Anyone have any ideas?

Russian Gremlins.... ok sorry no political stuff...
Tell us more about your cart, make, model, year, voltage, color (just kidding)
I never hear of this specific species of gremlin, stranger things have happen. I would find a wiring diagram for your cart and verify that the system is at the OEM standard.
We have installed several Summit II on board without any issues. We use this charger for everything OBC, T48, TXT 36v, one heck of a great charger.
Please provide any solution you may have found, i would love to know the answer to this one.

When you first put power to a YDRE or a G22, that will happen. Is it possible you have a loose connection and the power is cutting out to the cart?

Positive to the solenoid activation circuit is always present, the Negative leg is provided by the controller. Could it be that the cart is leaking voltage because of a dirty battery pack, so when you touch something you are providing the ground?
So much to learn ....so little time. I know what I don't Know, so this problem is way cool for me.

2008 G29 Drive
48 volt (6 new Costco batteries)
Alltrax 500 (tuned to 400amp)
summit 2 charger
HD solenoid

It has been about 6 months since I upgraded everything and it has been running fine. All of a sudden on full acceleration, it will Buck every a few times. Just like power is being cut out and then immediately applied again. I am thinking it was my low voltage sensor cutting in and out so I was making sure it was fully charged to try again. I also need to check battery water levels still. That is when I found this interesting issue. The weird thing is I cannot figure out how just the charger wires would have any ability to cause the solenoid to actuate like that. odd...

Labrat, it is acting like a short or ground issue of some sort but wires looked clean.

I will check all wiring when I get a chance next.

You need to stop hooking & unhooking wires with tow/run switch in Run.

cgtech, not sure what you mean by that. I do not believe that I have hooked/unhooked any wires with the cart still in run. I haven't actually hooked/unhooked any wires since the cart was running well.

Update: I believe I have solved my issues

It turns out the positive wire I was thinking was setting off the solenoid was actually just slightly moving an adjacent wire that is the real culprit. That wire is the 3 wire (red/black/green) harness that plugs into the motor connector. The plastic male connector that those 3 wires go into to connect to the female connection off the motor had a loose connection. The green wire was pulling out of the connector causing it to lose/regain contact at the slightest movement. I re-secured the green wire to the connector and have not been able to recreate the issue. I will monitor next time I take the cart on a run. Hopefully this helps fix my jolting/bucking issue as well.

Thanks for the advice and suggestions.
