Default If the timing marks appear correct then

What should I check next since the timing marks are correct? I have good compression if I release the exhaust valve. I have no compression with the valves set properly.

no, the clutch is still on. The timing had to jump or something b/c this doesnt make sense.

I pulled the timing cover back and eyed the marks. They appear inline. I appreciate the help.

Will the balancer and crank being out of alignment affect timing? I will check it. Thanks

It has always turned ccw. The guy on ebay I bought it from said it should turn cw. Maybe he was confused.
