Default Is my cart AC or DC?

I just bought a 2017 Yamaha that I assumed was AC. The model is DR2E17 and it says Max Power: 6.7 HP 5.0 KW. Is this an AC cart. I looked up the serial number (J0C-000XXX) and it cross references a DC Unit. Can it be DC and have the 6.7 HP motor?

If the nameplate reads 6.7 HP 5KW, but the serial is for a DC Fleet model, I can’t figure out which motor it is...

It also has a delta style charger if that helps with the mystery. I ordered a controller for an AC motor and I’m starting to worry it won’t work. Yamaha online is adamant about saying it’s a DC cart based in the serial number. But I am still not covinced

Just look at your motor. If it has 3 large cables going to it, its AC. If it has 2 large cables & 2 small cables, its DC.

Thank you! That is about as straightforward and easy as it gets!

So, I don't see a serial no. Just a model no on that label.

You can tell by looking at the motor as they look different than DC motors. It the motor has connections labeled A1,A2 and F1,F2 then its a DC motor.

Yamaha AC carts have Toyota controllers. Says Toyota right on it. DC carts have Curtis I believe.

edit: cgtech jumped in there while I was typing. He will know for sure.
