Re: My first cart build, g9 in progress
My wife just shakes her head and rolls her eyes when she see's me in the garage working on the cart. Same look she gave me when I was working on my Road king. She'll never admit to it, but I know she thinks there cool...lol

Re: My first cart build, g9 in progress
Here is the next round of pics, I have split them into 2 post. They are of the homemade front suspension lift.
The idea of the drop down control arm bracket was taken from a post here on BGW. I added some extra metal for the frame to rest on. The upper bracket incorporates a winch mount and the new shock mounts for the Gold wing air shocks. This set up moved the front wheels 2” forward and 2” wider. |

Re: My first cart build, g9 in progress
Here is the second group of the front lift pics. I hope this is my last mock up. I have started making some trim to cover the lift. I will post more pics when they are done. After everything gets assembled and test driven, I will take it apart to paint the frame and body.
Please, If you see anything that I may have missed, feel free to let me know. |

Thanks, BUUUUUT!
Unfortunately the frame restoration is taking longer than then hoped,I just can't find the time to work on it. This is it's current condition. |

As for my work "looking good", it's no mistake that most of my photos are of poor quality. The reality of my fab skills are as follows. Poor cuts, poor welds followed by alot of grinding and clean up! |
