Default New to carts, G22a

Good morning all.
I just inherited a stock 2002 yamaha G22A and I'm looking for some more power and speed. Is there a way to gain top speed without loosing torqe. I live in a very hilly area, and I'd like to be able to do some very mild off-roading.
Thanks a lot
Larry

6" lift, 22 or 23 in tires, crank the governor nut all the way in for more speed, and install a power kit in the driven clutch for more torque.

Just what Dave said I would stick with 22" tires, to stop the possibility of rubbing though. Welcome to BGW and congrates on your new addictive toy!

Yea 22's and a 6" lift is in the cards someday. Does anyone have any recomendations for a torqe kit? I'm very mechanicaly inclined, just never turned a wrench on a golf cart.
Thanks again

Welcome Larry, Plowmans carts or Cart Parts Plus. Venders here!
All tho, I used a concierge spring in mine, and very happy. May talk to plowmans about that.
