Tach Problems
I have installed an Equus 8068 with inductive pickup on a 07 Yamaha Drive G29, but I can not get it to read correctly, it is very erratic. It will jump up to 6k rpms idleing or 0 rpms idleing. I have grounded it directly to the battery, seperated the wires to make sure I wasn't getting any interference, and have tried the clamp both directions with no luck. I have seen several old threads with these problems but nobody ever posted a solution, please any help would be apprectiated.

Re: Tach Problems
Take a look at spark plug. If its a resistor plug (R in number) try non resistor plug or if its not a resistor plug try one. I seen this work.
