Maching driven clutch on 92 ds with fe290.
Hello all, I have access to a machine shop and I would like to machine my driven clutch before I reinstall it. Can anyone tell me how much to remove and if I am to machine both halves of the clutch equally. I've already installed the new springs in both clutches as well as a new double cog belt. This looks to be relatively simple to do, I just need to know how much to machine. Thanks in advance.

I work at a machine shop and we did one a month ago on one of my carts. The max before the moveable sheeve bottoms out is .050. I took off .030 and it helped.

Thanks for the reply. I appreciate it. As far as machining the cylinder head, have you done one of those as well. It looks like I can take around 25 thousandths and help raise the compression on my stock piston setup.

I have not done this. I've seen some have taken up to .050
