1998 gas club car won't start
How do I test to see if the solenoid is broken...Currently it only clicks when I step on excellerator

If it clicks it sounds like your solenoid is working.

jump the two larger posts on the solenoid with a screw driver and see if the starter turns. I had a bad solenoid that clicked when the pedal was depressed.

Solenoid can click but not engage. Jumping the large posts like suggested will tell. If it spins, it needs to be replaced. Sometimes a gentle smack with screwdriver handle may get it to work again but for a short time..
