Hacking an RXV charger to batteries?
Hello everyone, this is a cross post from Club Car as it may fit better here. I have a club car that has been converted using ScottyB IQ kit, so not stock. The charging receptacle is wired to the batteries (48v) directly not through an OBC. The charger I purchased was defective and am getting another one soon, but still may be a few weeks.
I have acquired a working used RXV charger. These seem to have a positive, negative, and signal pin. Is it possible or wise to attach an SB50 the the pos and neg (disregard the signal) and charge my cart until the new Lester comes it? I've read that some chargers require a signal from the cart controller to work, this will be hooked directly to batteries. Thanks, CCC |

Re: Hacking an RXV charger to batteries?
At the risk of possibly screwing up all the computer controls and settings on your cart, I would not try this.
