Re: 2006 36v TXT - Sluggish to Move And Then Warms Up?
Thanks for sharing! I’ll try doing the same and let you know how it goes. I did end up manually pushing the cart as well and think a bearing change is also in order (thanks for the advice JohnnieB). Would you mind sharing the solenoid you purchased?
Thanks, Erik |

Quote:
Motor has 1 Diff. input shaft has 2 Diff. intermediate shaft has 2 Rear axle has 2 for each side (4 total) Front axle has 2 for each side. (4 total) That's an overall total of 13 ball bearing sets. |

Not to stick my nose where it's not wanted but I've looked at all of OhDannyBoy's posts and been following this thread and I'm not at all sure Danny and ThePump's symptoms are the same or even similar.

Re: 2006 36v TXT - Sluggish to Move And Then Warms Up?
Well, replaced the solenoid and unfortunately the issue is still there. Even after I get it “warmed up”, just a total lack of power. Any other diagnostics I can do on the electrical?
Thanks, Erik |

Re: 2006 36v TXT - Sluggish to Move And Then Warms Up?
Which drive system, series or PDS?
------------ Connect your voltmeter to the battery pack's main positive and negative terminals and monitor the pack voltage while driving. 1. What is pack voltage before moving cart? 2. What is pack voltage with pedal on floor while on level pavement before cart "warms" up? 3. What is pack voltage with pedal on floor while on level pavement after cart "warms" up? |

Re: 2006 36v TXT - Sluggish to Move And Then Warms Up?
The saga continues. I was unable to actually complete the voltage checks as you outlined above. Reason? The cart is now not moving at all. I found another thread where you attached “the test set up for a Sepex motor like what is used in a PDS cart.” I’ve attached that diagram here as well.
I raised the rear wheels, hooked everything up as outlined, and the motor does… nothing. No spinning wheels. I’ve linked a YouTube video that shows the setup. Assuming I did this right, is my motor totally shot? https://youtube.com/shorts/Wm8wBax1TO4?feature=share |

Only way to tell is to take it apart and examine the brushes and commutator. Maybe new brushes will fix it, maybe it's toast.

Re: 2006 36v TXT - Sluggish to Move And Then Warms Up?
- Is cart not working at all anymore?
- Are you certain it's a sepex system? Does it have a run/tow switch? Does it have a mechanical F/R switch or a rocker switch on the dash? - Did you ever measure pack voltage after resting or under load while running? - If cart is still running it makes no sense that the motor test is not working. BTW that video won't load. - Have you checked the throttle system? (Go through all the troubleshooting steps in the stickies and the manuals. - The symptoms you describe sound like a similar problem I had (link below). I finally wound up replacing the controller, but not before I carefully went through every other step, including removing and cleaning the motor (not as bad a job as you might think). https://www.buggiesgonewild.com/show...ight=long+tale |
