I suspeced that Melex and Ez go were somehow associated.

Melex came out of Poland in 1971. The first ones were 3 wheelers and were clones of ez-go's. Beleive it or not Melex was the first to impliment a "Solid State" controller. Everyone else soon followed.

so were ezgo's ever 3 wheeled? And when?
The one in my shop now is for sure a 74' I called BU tech line and asked the tech comfirmed your observation. Thanks!

Oh heck yea...I think they made them until 86 but I'm not 100% positive about that.

I know they had 2 cycles up to 1993, but I don't ever recall a 3-wheeler up that new. Then again, I could be wrong.

I have a 3 wheeler that some say its a 93 others a 78 and ezgo cant tell me the year somthing about them changing ther computer system and not having the info for older carts im far from being an expert so dont take my word on this kind of stuff
