Re: 88 ezego
As to "Service Mode" - I'm not sure what you mean (unless it's an electric cart, in which case you're probably going to want to head over to the "EZGO Electric" posts) ...
The 88 Gas carts are a unique situation, they are based on the 2PG engine *but* have several unique designs that make a lot of the parts, etc strictly 1988 only. As to the basics, you can hit the stickies and download the wiring diagram for 87's (which is the same) and most of the actual specs you'd want to test (IE compression, etc) are the same as the 2PG's. Let me know if you need a carb diagram, manual, etc (I have PDF's of all that stuff for the 88's I can send you if you need) - the basic starting point as always though is gas, spark, compression, crankcase pressure ... A little info on what the cart is currently doing (or NOT doing) would help us help You !!! DZ |

Re: 88 ezego
Hi Michael, Is this a EzGo or a Club Car we're working on? If in fact its an EzGo they aren't like C.C. The 2pg don't offer a service mode like the 91 and up Ezgos do. You have to just jack the rear end up when working on them. Or take the drive belt off to do the work.

Re: 88 ezego
Now I get it - yeah, just roll the belt off and you'll be fine. The 88 2PG has no "gearing" so to speak, the engine runs backwards for reverse or normally for forward.
Again, hit me up if I can help w diagrams, etc |
