2008 Turf 2 starting then stopping
Whats up everyone I had to replace my delta shock assembly
so that wasn't to bad but after putting the cart back together it was acting funny. It would move but then randomly it would quit. Turning the key on off and switching the tow run switch it might drive a few feet then stop again. I don't really know where to look to start diagnosing the problem. Any ideas? Also this rig is set up with 8 6 volt batteries, that is what other turf 2's have? |

Check the wires on the back of the key switch to make sure they're tight.

Re: 2008 Turf 2 starting then stopping-and other problems
I think it may be the solenoid going bad so Im replacing it with a new one this weekend.
As im working on fixing things that dont work i cant seem to figure out what this foot switch is. It reminds me of a old bright light dimmer switch but there is also a horn tucked under the dash. I didnt have a multi-meter but i ordered from amazon so it should be here this weekend. In the mean time i was going to see if anyone had any thoughts on what this is normally used for any why it might not be working? |

Re: 2008 Turf 2 starting then stopping
That'd be the horn button
Try putting 12v directly to the horn. If that works, start tracing the wires from the switch and the power source |

Re: 2008 Turf 2 starting then stopping
Still no dice. Replaced the solenoid today and it did the exact same thing as with the old solenoid. Any other advice to what may be causing the problem?

Did you check the wires on the back of the keyswitch?

Re: 2008 Turf 2 starting then stopping
I did...the key clicks when you turn it to on as well, but he main solenoid doesn't click when i push the peddle. Like it said it will go for a min or so then stop. Then after a little while of sitting do the same thing.
