I have a similar cart that had a similar problem...my issue was related to the three micro switches located on top of the forward/reverse switch...in my case one of the wires had broken the tab off one of the micro switches and also had some corrosion issues...I opted to replace all the micro switches and the wire ends. Turned out to be a bigger job than I thought because the nuts for the two bolts that hold the micro switches are held in place by moulded plastic nut holders built into the body of the forward/reverse switch. Because of that I ended up taking the bolts out if the forward/reverse switch in order to reach the nuts for the micro switches only to find out the nuts for the big bolts are held in place using the same type of moulded plastic system. What a pain. Hope this helps.
