i changed my rear gear oil awhile .back 3 mons; ago As far As shavings .You may have a idea there.Can't remember........ getting ready to go out today with her. I think i will print out this gear shavings thing, But you would have to have heck of a bunch of shavings come out..... to tell you the gears were bad, in other words,. lots of shavings vs hardly any.coming from drain hole good-- thought though. bob s

My thinking too, if real clear , since it has been changed would be good, if noticeable shavings would need some action right away,.?

Not on mine. Both my 1999 and 2003 are nice and quite.

you get no gear mesh click at all? either way fr or reverse . Can't believe that .

None that I can hear in normal operation.

Maybe if I jacked it up and turned the wheel back and forward I might hear something in the axle changing direction, but I've not tried that.

Mr golf if you will/ please try that slowly and listen to an easily heard, gear changing directions for---to.. reverse.a slightly harder push..... back and forth thanks =mr golf bob s
