2009 Precident solenoid drop out.
I have a PH09XX, it goes into solenoid sleep mode within a min of stopping cart with key switch on. When I want to go again, I have to depress pedal 2-3 times before solenoid engages. I have changed MCOR and solenoid. With the IQDM in monitor mode when solenoid does engage the IQDM resets. Current Faulst are none, Fault history is always HPD and when I clear fault history it comes back as operator error. When IQDM does come back on it say's communication with controller failed. Any clues?

First, make sure there are no additional wires on the solenoid big post that goes to the controller.
The 16ga wire for logic power should be on the big post on the battery pack side. If that is OK, next time it happens put on reverse to see if the buzzer sounds. If the buzzer does not sound, the issue is the OBC lockout. You can by-pass it by jumping the red and blue wires on the OBC 6-pin connector. |

Sergio,
Those scenarios do not seem to be the issue, I get the HPD as a constant reading on Fault History. even after clearing code. I do not get any current faults. do I still jump red and blue wires? |

I agree with Sergio. It sounds like the OBC has a short in it and it's intermittently shutting down the system.

I put back all old pieces( solenoid and controller) re tested system still no current faults and as long as I hold my foot in the pedal with the hand held plugged in the solenoid still cycles off and on and the handheld still reboots. I am at a loss here.

I had a bad controller do that to me. Once. Never saw it again. Had exact same symptoms as you.
