Squeak
When driving in reverse, I get a squeaking noise, and I think it's from the motor, but I could be wrong. Would WD40 fix this? If so, where should I spray?

Re: Squeak
I cleaned the motor off and the squeak seems to have gone away as well.

Re: Squeak
I think it's something in the brakes. I'm taking one apart now to clean it and see if that does anything.

Re: Squeak
The squeak is getting fairly loud and taking apart the brakes did not help. I think it's in the motor. Does anyone have any ideas?

Re: Squeak
Does it squeak if you push or tow the cart? That would narrow it down to the rear-end,or a wheel-bearing.Put the rear on jack-stands and run it,see if you hear the squeak. While its' jacked up,spin the rear-tires by hand and carefully listen around near the wheels for bearing-noise.If not, then jack up the front and check the wheel-bearings for looseness, and also noise when spinning. Also check your battery hold-downs,a loose battery can squeak if its' vibrating in the tray.Hope this helps.

Re: Squeak
This was an odd one for me, but I have a squeak/grinding sound when I went in in reverse. It was the cotter pin that holds the brake cable on. in reverse in was digging into the rim.
I'm sure this is not your issue, but it could be something silly and simple. I hope it is.What pachanga90 is really the best way to figure it out. Good luck. |

Re: Squeak
If you still suspect the motor, take it off and have it tested at a electric-motor shop. There may be a bearing going in the motor.Hope this helps.
