Nope. Same algorithm applies across all 12v batteries.

BTW... what's your take on the 12v battery made by U.S. Battery and sold by Napa? I've got a friend who owns a store and will sell for $140 each. Seems like a great deal...

I like them. If I was gonna use 12v batteries those are the ones I'd get. I'm assuming the napa ones are the same internally as the regular US Battery version
