Steps:
1 - controller/fnr 2 - high speed motor 3 - new cables 4 gauge or less 4 - replace all batteries with 6 8's. or add two 6's 5 - if you're still not happy, gear swap It's a good order to follow on a budget, will build speed without hurting anything, and Scotty can set you up with most of it and point you in the direction of all of it. And lastly but MOST importantly..... Post pics!!! |

Or alternatively, you can stay with the stock motor. I fed my stock Series 36 volt motor 48 volts and 500 amps, and it was happy, though you do need to monitor for heat. I'm still running stock tire size.
I only upgraded my motor to get more speed. YMMV. |
