48 Volts on Stock PDS controller?
I have a 2006 PDS 36 Volt EZ GO cart with 23 inch wheels.
The batteries are trashed. I'm going to buy new batteries. I plan on upgrading the controller soon. My question is can I simply put 6- 8volt batteries in place of the 6 -6volt batteries and use the cart until I upgrade the controller? I know I will need a charger too to go along with the batteries. I was just hoping I could do this until I have enough for a new controller and relay? |

Re: 48 Volts on Stock PDS controller?
Not unless you want to smoke the controller and possibly the batteries. You are better off waiting till you have everything to convert it over.
FYI - An Alltrax 400amp DCX with 48v = Hauling A$$! There are no carts around me that can touch my cart. I thought because it was a PDS that the low end torque would get smoked by a series cart, but that hasn't been the case either.... I'm not saying I have the fastest cart, I know they are out there, just not where I live. |
